What is Made-to-Order?
Made-to-order simply means we begin making your lovely pieces as soon as you checkout. In other words, we do not carry excessive amounts of stock. This helps to eliminate unnecessary waste and inventory, while also giving you a limited run, handmade piece that very few others will have. It also means, we can make the color, size and style you desire as long as we have the fabric.

How is this different from custom?
When something is made custom, it is based on your exact measurements.

Will you customize a garment for me?
At this time, we do not make custom garments. For most styles offered in our collections, we do make adjustments to the length (tops, pants, sleeves, dresses, etc.) up to 2” shorter or longer. After placing your order, send us an email with your desired adjustments: kelly (at) kellylanedesign.com.

Do you charge extra for adjusting the length?
We do not! This is the beauty of made-to-order.

Will your made-to-order items go on sale?
Since each garment is made just for you, there isn’t stock or inventory to put on sale. We make any given collection until we run out of fabric. 1-2x a year, we will have a sample sale. There are usually very limited sizes and colors.

Can I return or exchange a made-to-order item?
You absolutely can. We want you to love your new piece. The only time we cannot accept returns is if the item was bought on sale, has been adjusted in length, or has already been worn or washed. We will accept an exchange for items bought on sale. For more information, see our Returns & Exchanges policy.

Will you help me determine my size?

How long will it take to receive my order?
Your order will ship in 1-2 weeks. If we happen to have the item in stock (we do make a handful of pieces for photoshoots and events), it will ship out in 1-3 days.

Can I get it faster?
It depends on our work load. Please contact us, and we will do our best to accommodate you.
